Discover tranquility amidst the trees during Yoga at the Forest on select Sundays!
Each Vinyasa-style yoga class will incorporate a blend of mindful movement and breath work, all guided by experienced instructors.

Winter Wellness: Reiki Meditation >> Sunday, February 2 | 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon at the Nature Center experiencing soothing frequencies of a Reiki infused guided meditation.
Facilitated by Reiki Master Heather Pearson of Flowing Feather Reiki, this meditation will help you align with nature's healing frequencies.

Nature explorers is an exciting interactive program designed for kids ages 6-11 to explore the wonders of nature and animals. Kids will learn about different animal species, their habitats, and meet an educational animal up close. Take part in an activity or craft and enjoy a guided hike.

Raptors Live: Valentine Edition >> Sunday, February 9 | 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Will you be our Talontine? Join our raptors in the Forest Room for a celebration of raptor love! Learn about how birds of prey choose their mates and raise their families while enjoying sweet treats and designing your own raptor-themed Talontines!
This program is $5 for members and $20 for non-members (price includes daily admission).

Seniors Understanding Nature >> Tuesday, February 11 | 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
1111 Bellevue Blvd. North | Bellevue
Join us for our Seniors Understanding Nature (SUN) lecture series at the Nature Center! Each lecture will cover a different topic (listed below). Snacks and coffee are available before the presentation. This program is for adults ages 55 and up who enjoy learning about the natural world.
December's topic is Twelve Million Years Ago in Nebraska. Shane Tucker, from UNL, will explain the impacts of Idaho's super volcano in Nebraska.

Full Moon Hikes >> Friday, February 14 | 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
1111 Bellevue Blvd. North | Bellevue
Have you ever hiked under a full moon? Or wondered what comes out after dark in the Forest? Find out on our guided Full Moon Hikes!
Hikes will begin no later than 30 minutes after the event start time, so be sure to arrive on time. All hikes will include an educational discussion of the nocturnal animals around the Forest and a brief talk into the lore of full moons. The event will include a bonfire and s’mores.
This event is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Registration is required. Members must sign in to receive discount.

Land Stewardship Volunteer Work Day >> Saturday, February15 | 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Locations vary
The volunteer Land Stewardship crew meets on select Saturday mornings to work on various projects. Anyone is welcome to join, even if it’s just one time. Bring the family and get some hard work done with us. Projects, start time, and location will be announced via email blast 10 days prior to the workday.

Explore the serene winter wetlands on a guided hike with our naturalist educators. Discover how plants and animals adapt to the cold, identify winter birds, and spot animal tracks in the snow. Enjoy the crisp air and tranquil beauty of the frosty floodplain in February!

Forest Fun Day: Snowy Survival >> Monday, February 17 | 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Camp Brewster | 1313 Bellevue Blvd. North
How do forest animals survive in the winter? How does the environment change when the weather becomes cold? We'll learn this and more at our one-day camp for ages 8 to 12, Forest Fun Day! We'll spend the day playing games, hiking (weather permitting), making a campfire with s'mores, constructing crafts and so much more!

Red Cross Blood Drive >> Friday, February 21 | 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 1111 Bellevue Blvd. North | Bellevue
Fontenelle Forest is proud to host multiple blood drives in partnership with the Red Cross each year, helping to make a difference in our community.
Every person who donates blood will receive one free day pass to Fontenelle Forest (redeemable at any time for up to one year) and one $7.00 off coupon to TreeRush Adventures at Fontenelle Forest.

Dirt Time>> Saturday, February 22 | 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. 1111 Bellevue Blvd. North | Bellevue
Have you ever wondered which animals are wandering in the Forest? Join us at Acorn Acres to explore tracks, scat, and more to find out who has been visiting our play area!
As the name suggests, this program can be messy, so please dress appropriately. We recommend bringing shoes that can get muddy, a pair of gloves to keep little hands clean, and a sense of adventure.

Twilight Trekking >> Friday, February 22 | 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. 1111 Bellevue Blvd. North | Bellevue
Are you an adventurous night owl looking to explore new trails? Join us in this unique opportunity to see the Forest at night! Don’t miss your chance to learn about the nocturnal creatures who call the Forest home while exploring new trails.
This hike is geared toward intermediate to experienced hikers (ages 16+) and will traverse at least two miles of moderate to difficult terrain, so please come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear.
$10 for members and $18 for non-members. Members must sign in to receive discount.

Winter Bird Walk >> Sunday, February 23 | 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. 1111 Bellevue Blvd. North | Bellevue
Ever wondered what birds brighten up the Forest when there’s snow on the ground? Join us on a chilly February morning to learn about the birds who brave the winters at Fontenelle Forest!
Bring your binoculars (or borrow a pair from us) and learn about some of the Forest’s 7 species of woodpeckers. Search for splashes of color from cardinals or nuthatches!
